a. Deaf college students took summer classes at Christ the King College (CKC) in Calbayog City. At the end of May 2004, they were told by OLAS administration
that they were no longer accepted for they have not reached the cut-off grade of 85% in all subject areas.
They were recommended then to study at CKC, Calbayog in pursuing their college
degree.
b. Interpreter’s graduation (April ’04) at De La Salle University-College
of Saint Benilde, Maria Lovella Borja (Level III) and Imelda Dayoan (Level III).
c. Aspiring interpreters and Deaf from Visayas and Mindanao areas were invited to study in Manila. Filipino Sign Language
Basic Course I class was held then at the FDC Office for Deaf and Hearing members during April – May 2004.
