* A mission exposure was organized for the Deaf and Hearing members in Franciscan Deaf Center. The mission composed of three groups; Anna Mae (Hearing) & Delecia (Deaf) – Group 1, target – North Cagayan. Group 2 – Carmela (Deaf), Alan (Hearing) & Garnet (Hearing), target – Biliran Island, Leyte. Richard (Deaf) as Group 3, heading to Catarman, Samar.

The missionaries’ purposes were to teach Deaf children and adults alike who has not been to school for education (illiterate and non-verbal) about sign language, academic subjects and common life activities. They were also challenged to teach gestural communication as the first language of the Deaf in provinces. The training will serve as guide to aspiring member-teachers for future works.

* The missions were linked with the Franciscan Parishes at Sta. Teresita in North Cagayan and Kawayan and Tucdao in Biliran Island, Leyte.

* Fr. Sato, Mavel, Myla visit SPED Center in Catarman.　　　

* Mass celebration for the Deaf in Calbayog and Mass and catechism in Tacloban.
